A Weekly Log of My New Driggo Smart-Watch

Hello Friends!
Welcome to Claireabeth’s Corner!

This week has been very exciting for me. I’ve had my ups and downs, but have been very enthused to be experimenting with my new Driggo Smartwatch. I ordered mine off of Wish for $14 last month, and it arrived about eight days ago. As soon as it arrived, I realized that I had to do a blogpost on it!

It obviously has several functions, and it operates on both Apple and Android.

It charges when I plug it into my laptop, which is very convenient! The only tricky thing about charging the watch, is the angle at which the device plugs into my laptop. Because of the angle, It puts my laptop at a bit of a tilt. My laptop keyboard is pretty thick, considering it’s about five years old and possibly older. So if you have a slim laptop, this could easily become a bit of a problem.

I also used my iPhone wall charger to charge my watch initially, which was a much more comfortable charging strategy.

Several functions on the watch are - but are not limitted to - Time Display, Step Tracking, Alarm Setting, Sleep Tracking, and Phone Finding.

Although I haven’t used it yet, the Phone Finding feature is definitely my favorite, because I'm always losing my phone. Following close behind is the Alarm setting. I’ve been using this to keep me waking up every morning in addition to my alarm clock across my room, and it has been surprisingly helpful! My next favorite feature is the sleep tracker. It breaks sleep into several categories and shows you how much of each category of sleep that the watch registers. I don’t think that it is entirely accurate in reading sleep, but I still like having the estimations. Surprisingly my step tracker - although it is my most used feature - is my least favorite. I love the whole watch, but for some reason, I’m not as crazy about this feature as I am about others.

This week, I decided to track my steps, and experiment with bringing the watch with me into several different situations for you guys, and let you know my thoughts!

    • Day 1: Woke up at 7am to my watch’s alarm and got out of bed an entire 15 minutes earlier than normal, and got ready for work. Walked to work; by the time I came home for lunch, I had taken about 5000 steps. I ended up going to the pool and spending about half an hour tanning and sitting in the water. After I tanned, I walked home to eat some dinner and pamper myself. (Friday’s are designated pamper nights for me) After pampering myself, I proceeded to work on finishing my blogpost that was due that night! Total, I took 9,982 steps before midnight, and then took several more that remained unregistered for this morning around 2am.
    • Day 2: Woke up before my alarm went off at 9:30am at about 8am. Left the house at about 9:20 to attend the Special Olympics and watch my sister compete. By the time lunch arrived, I had taken about 3,000 steps and was checking to see if my watch was waterproof. (It is, in fact, waterproof!) About an hour and a half later, my friends picked me up and we went to the local YMCA waterpark! (You can see my Instagram post about it here!) I kept my watch on at the pool and it lasted through the entire swim! By the time I sat down to do some blogging work that night, I had taken 9,951 steps.
    • Day 3: I woke up around 7am to get ready for church and brought my sister there for Sunday Morning Service, while my parents took my other sister back to the Special Olympics for her final two events. I ended up staying late at church, because my sister volunteered to help set-up the VBS set in the Sanctuary. After setting up there, we came home. My best friend came over and we decided to lay out at my neighborhood’s pool before we went to the Lake that night with our Young Adult Church group. I hit the sack that night with a total of 9705 steps.
    • Day 4: Monday, I woke up and went to work. I started feeling a bit under the weather, and so I only took 6745 steps.
    • Day 5: I was planning on a low step count all week, until I went Ice Skating on Tuesday night after being at work all day. Apparently, stroking in ice skates counts towards your steps, so I ended up with a total of 14,127 by the end of the night.
    • Days 6+7: Wednesday and Thursday, I felt terrible and exhausted coming home from work. So, I reached a grand total of 10,568 steps.
    • Day 8: Today (Friday), I still came home exhausted from work and felt under the weather, however, I managed to kick up my step total to 7991.

My overall thoughts on the watch are that it is 100% worth the purchase! Especially for the price point! Aside from the price point, there are also several other perks to the watch, such as having Bluetooth connection to your phone, and having an app create graphs of your step-count fluctuations! Also, the watch is waterproof and so easy to use and customize to your personal preference

My only issue has been me unintentionally turning on the timer and/or military time setting and not being able to find a fix for it besides waiting for the watch to fix itself or restarting the watch from the app on my Phone. (As far as I know, that is the only way to restart the watch.)

But aside from that, this is by far one of my favorite purchases that I’ve made from Wish, and just online in general.

I hope this was helpful for you guys and that you enjoyed reading this post!
